The Claremont Trio

On Sunday , November 5th,2006 at the Pequot Library the Claremont Trio will present a unique concert of piano trios of Beethoven, Shostakovich and Arensky with cameo appearances by three young stars who have taken Music for Youth master classes: violinist Samuuel Weiser of Wesport, double bass player Dennis Caravakis of Fairfield and painist Philip Libby of Rowwayton. And THE ARTIST SHOWCASE a tv show for art lovers Will be there to film the event. The Claremont Trio, after winning the 2001 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, made its New York debut, followed by debuts in Boston and Washington and the award of Helen F. Whitaker Chamber Music Chair of Young Concert Artists. In 2003, the Kalichstein Laredo Robinsion International Trio Award was besstowed on the Claremont. The Claremont Trio The Claremont Trio will perform at Music for Youth's annual benifit concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, November 5, at the Pequot Library in Southport, Connecticut. Tickets are $25.00 general admission, $50.00 for reserved seating, $150.00 for for reserved seating, dinner and dining with artists after the concert at the Riverside Restaurant of Saugatuck Rowing Club. Tickets may be purchased at Sally's Place, 190 main Street., Westport, or by calling Music For Youth at: (203) 227-1611.
